Cook Or Be Eaten!

I directed this game project among a group of four students: Fabian Aguilar, Julian Sosa, Gabriel Marin, and me. I also took the role of the level designer.

Cook or Be Eaten! is a survival-horror cooking game where you, the chef, must cook delicious meals for a beast. If he does not like your cooking, you will be his meal instead!

This game was developed as a class prototype in Unity and is now being re-worked in Godot into a full game. Cook, or Be Eaten! is now currently in development by my indie team, Fabian Aguilar, Kyle Lynn, Gabriel Marin, and me. The game will be developed for PC and Mac and will be available on Steam and Itch.io. More updates will be posted on the Critter Alchemist Studio YouTube channel.

City Hub and Spooky Maze Levels

Using the Unity game engine, I created the City Hub and Spooky Maze levels for my Level Design class during the Spring 2024 semester. It is a 3-D platformer prototype with a simple character controller with a spirit character sprite I created in Photoshop. I also used sound effects from Freesounds.org and modified them using Audacity. I have learned a great deal during the development of this project and am currently remaking its levels into a full, N64-style platforming game called The Epic Keymee & Swingal. More updates will be posted on my Critter Alchemist Studio YouTube channel.

Clean Up the Kingdom

Clean Up the Kingdom is an educational environmental awareness game that uses JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. This was made during my Multimedia Tools class in 2023. This was done by a group of three people, including myself.

VR Astronomy Game Prototype

I designed this prototype of my VR Astronomy Game (placeholder title) using Adobe XD. This was developed for my Human-Computer Interaction class in Spring 2024. I first conducted interviews with people who played similar VR games and who are interested in astronomy. I had the opportunity to interview an astronomer from the Monterey Astronomy Club about what would make my VR astronomy game engaging to players. After analyzing the feedback from my interviews, I drew concept sketches and low-fidelity wireframes. Then, I designed high-fidelity wireframes and designed the Adobe XD prototype. The prototype can be accessed through the link below.
